Announcements

Welcome to our final Rabbi Candidate, Rabbi Benjamin Hecht:
Rabbi Hecht has served Jewish communities across Canada and the United States as a Rabbi, educator and scholar for over thirty years. As the Founding Director of Nishma, an internationally recognized educational non-profit, for the past twenty-five years, he developed an extensive library of Torah publications and organized numerous events and lectures on pressing topics in Jewish thought. Along with his ordination from Yeshivat Beth Shmuel  Jerusalem, Rabbi Hecht also has an MBA, an LL.B. and a BA (Psychology) from York University. He is no stranger to the Mizrachi Bayit and used to daven with us regularly many years ago.

Successful Hanukkah Party

The Mizrachi Bayit Hanukkah Party was a great success. The food, crafts and entertainment were fabulous. We were treated to great music by Leonard Stein and his opening act, provided by "Off-ISH-ial" - Marty Lebi and Noah Shaffir. Kudos to organizers Dave Gordon and Laya Crust, and to Penina Melamed, who provided INCREDIBLE activities for the children. Mega thanks to Les Lightstone, Saul Melamed and Laya for their clean-up shift.

Kiddush
Last week's kiddush was sponsored by Mayer Bernstein commemorating the yahrzeit of his mother
שרה חנה טובה בת אברהם דוב
The kiddush this week is sponsored by the Mizrachi Bayit. We're always happy to have someone sponsor a kiddush. Please contact Les Lightstone if you're interested.
