Ve'ahavta Speaker Next Shabbat (July 14)
The following information was provided to us by Ve'ahavta about next week's speaker:
The speaker’s name is Lisa; she is an alumni of our Ve’ahavta Street Academy, and will be speaking about her lived experience of poverty and homelessness. Since finishing our program, she continues to spend her time giving back to the community, including as a kitchen coordinator for our Meal Box program, and as a coordinator for our Ve’ahavta Street Academy.

Afternoon Activity Next Sunday (July 15)
There will be an activity in the afternoon next Sunday (time is TBD). The activity will be The Game of Life an interactive game that simulates the challenges faced by many people in our community and demonstrates the interconnectedness of social justice issues. Participants gain a better understanding of the cycle of poverty and its outcomes on communities and individuals.
